Image of bright light emanating through a key hole in a room

While we know everyone always does their best, imperfect humans often fall short when it comes to parenting.  Children with less than adequate parents may not feel protected or safe, a feeling they may carry into adulthood.  While transcending whatever such challenges you face may seem daunting, you incarnate able to overcome far more than you may think, including old well-worn patterns from childhood.

Present day fears related to feeling unsafe may surface as a fear of speaking, overwhelm around others, and a desire to isolate.  Mantras such as “I am safe, protected, and assured,” may help alleviate some lesser angst.  Filling yourself with golden light and love, energetically stepping into yourself, and getting grounded may also help.  Some people also use energy protection strategies such as creating an impermeable bubble around themselves but I find if I fully inhabit my body I don’t absorb other people’s stuff and I feel socially at ease.

For the deeper, older insecurities below the conscious level, Jin Shin Jyutsu® (JSJ) Japanese acupressure offers many options for harmony.  All the self-helps associated with worry support self-protection and self-esteem.  They include Safety Energy Lock (SEL) 1 through 4, Organ Function Energies Stomach and Spleen, and the thumb.  SEL 1 supports letting go, 2 helps with self-esteem, 3 supports your immunity to everything including people, and 4 assists with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).  In addition, SEL 8 (truly in your body), SEL 21 (mental freedom), and Heart Organ Function Energy all support feeling secure.

Another great JSJ harmonizer I’ve personally found powerful for the more calcified sense of “unsafe” involves holding the opposite side SEL 26 with the opposite side SEL 2.  In other words, you “give yourself a hug” encasing your left armpit (your fingers rest on the 26 directly behind your armpit, thumb rests in front of your armpit) with your right hand, while reaching your left hand behind you across to the right 2 at the top of the hipbone.  Apply the mirror image (left hand on right 26, right hand on left 2) for the other side.  You can also hold SEL 19 on your top inner elbow as an alternative for SEL 26 in this case.

How do you comfort and protect yourself when you either don’t feel safe or feel ill at ease with people?

Note: This post addresses lingering issues around not feeling internally safe and protected, not to any on-going external threat.  If you’re currently in a situation where you don’t feel physically safe, please take appropriate actions to ensure your health and well-being.

About three weeks ago, my 56-year-old physically fit husband experienced paralysis of his right side following a stroke. Today it's like his stroke never happened.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does a typical Energy Quartet session go?

We open with a 45 minute or so Akashic Records consultation. The revealed themes, patterns, and disharmonies drive the table work in conjunction with your "pulses," body reading, and my intuitive insights. A follow-up e-mail documents what occurs during the energy work and includes customized self-helps.

What should I wear to receive table work?

In this work, you remain fully clothed. Just wear whatever will feel comfortable while lying on my massage table. If it's a remote session, I'll ask you to rest while I send energy.

How do I prepare for a session?

Please consider the personal or interpersonal disharmony that led you to me and how you would like it to shift. During the session, we'll explore and address the origins and drivers of each "project."

Are the Akashic Records predictive?

No, the records aren’t a good resource for predictions. If there’s something you hope will happen, the records might reveal a series of necessary steps to reach your desired outcome but not the timing. For predictions, please consult a good psychic or astrologer!

Why can't children receive Akashic Records consultations?

Minors are under their parents' legal and energetic jurisdiction until they are 18, regardless of their maturity level.

The greatest benefit occurs when I incorporate all four modalities I practice. The option without the Akashic Records is appropriate for children under 18 who cannot receive readings. A stand-alone reading can bring insight and healing but does not involve my direct interaction with your energetic and physical bodies like my other practices.

Do you record Akashic Records consultations?

No, but you are welcome to record sessions yourself.

Why do self-helps?

Self-helps, both from Jin Shin Jyutsu and the Embodied Energy System, support your continued harmony, accelerate your evolution, and empower you. Plus they make you sparkly!
