Soon we complete the fourth week of eight of my mother’s stay with us. While it helps to now know when she can move into her retirement apartment, I must strengthen my resilience “muscle” to sustain this temporary living situation with as much normalcy for my husband and me as possible. Providing meals, shelter, and transportation for someone requires significant internal and external adjustments.

“Resilience: Take what comes in your stride and let your energy rebound.” In my blog post Take It As It Comes, I wrote about being with whatever arises. Resilience also preserves your energy, allowing you to spend it more efficiently and effectively rather than burning it fighting reality. As Byron Katie says, “When I argue with reality, I lose—but only 100% of the time.” Taking life in stride frees you to focus on what happens, rather than on what you think could or should happen. Imagine how much energy we could collectively reclaim if we stopped struggling against our current experiences!

“Build positive momentum, elasticity, and endurance.” Resilience reminds you life flows, moves, and evolves even when you feel stuck. Sometimes it helps to put faith in micro-movements, those tiny, perhaps indiscernible, steps forward.  According to the Akashic Records you always move forward, not back, even if your behaviors may not yet reflect your internal shifts. Elasticity represents your internal bounce and stretchiness, the ability to begin again as needed and to adapt. Endurance speaks to the longevity of your willingness. Restarting takes courage and conviction. Life is a marathon, not a sprint.

“Show up with equanimity regardless of what is going on.” Dictionary.com defines equanimity as “mental or emotional stability or composure, especially under tension or strain; calmness; equilibrium.” While developing equanimity you learn to recognize and sidestep obstacles. In Jin Shin Jyutsu® acupressure, Safety Energy Locks (SELs) 10, 11, 12, and 13 self-helps all support mental/emotional harmony.

Has your resilience grown over time? Do you see a connection between resilience and patience? How do you access your resilience?

*The resilience quotes come from The Original Angel Card Book – Inspirational Messages and Meditations by Kathy Tyler and Joy Drake.

About three weeks ago, my 56-year-old physically fit husband experienced paralysis of his right side following a stroke. Today it's like his stroke never happened.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does a typical Energy Quartet session go?

We open with a 45 minute or so Akashic Records consultation. The revealed themes, patterns, and disharmonies drive the table work in conjunction with your "pulses," body reading, and my intuitive insights. A follow-up e-mail documents what occurs during the energy work and includes customized self-helps.

What should I wear to receive table work?

In this work, you remain fully clothed. Just wear whatever will feel comfortable while lying on my massage table. If it's a remote session, I'll ask you to rest while I send energy.

How do I prepare for a session?

Please consider the personal or interpersonal disharmony that led you to me and how you would like it to shift. During the session, we'll explore and address the origins and drivers of each "project."

Are the Akashic Records predictive?

No, the records aren’t a good resource for predictions. If there’s something you hope will happen, the records might reveal a series of necessary steps to reach your desired outcome but not the timing. For predictions, please consult a good psychic or astrologer!

Why can't children receive Akashic Records consultations?

Minors are under their parents' legal and energetic jurisdiction until they are 18, regardless of their maturity level.

NEED HELP CHOOSING A SESSION?

The greatest benefit occurs when I incorporate all four modalities I practice. The option without the Akashic Records is appropriate for children under 18 who cannot receive readings. A stand-alone reading can bring insight and healing but does not involve my direct interaction with your energetic and physical bodies like my other practices.

Do you record Akashic Records consultations?

No, but you are welcome to record sessions yourself.

Why do self-helps?

Self-helps, both from Jin Shin Jyutsu and the Embodied Energy System, support your continued harmony, accelerate your evolution, and empower you. Plus they make you sparkly!
