In Jin Shin Jyutsu® (JSJ) Japanese acupressure, telltale signs such as the shapes and orientation of your fingers and toes, how your feet rotate when you lie resting, and even your skin tone reveal details about where you could benefit from improved harmony. Your body also tells a story through its audible releases, which I call your “body broadcasts,” another indicator of disharmony particularly if the frequency or intensity of the releases becomes problematic.
As a child I got hiccups so often my parents took me to the doctor to see if he could figure out what ailed me but we learned nothing from it. Many years later I realized what I ate and drank, including lots of carbonated beverages, contributed to the problem. Even with dietary changes, I find myself with occasional hiccuping spells but now I address them with JSJ self-helps. Gallbladder and Liver Organ Function energies relate to gas production and disorders in the body. Both connect to anger, characterized in JSJ as the fear of not getting what you want, which could cause sighing, a release via exhaling. Gallbladder provides the stronger harmonizer for sighing as the exhaling organ function flow versus the Liver inhaling one. The Spleen organ function self-help harmonizes digestion as well as fatigue. The Kidney organ function flow passes through the lung, throat, and nose. In addition to sneezes, Kidney organ function helps harmonize fevers and immune issues.
